MAMO-Rome is an experiment in bringing together the Anglo-American tradition of conferences, which are routinely funded through the registration fees of participants, and the continental-European model, where registration fees are less common. With generous support from the École française de Rome, the French Embassy, and John Cabot University, we have managed to keep the registration fee for MAMO-2018 at 50 euro, or 60 US dollars for US citizens and permanent residents.
Important: Online registration, via payment of the registration fee, is required if you wish to attend the conference and do not belong to one of the organizing or hosting institutions. The registration fee is 50 euro for the full conference, 20 euro for a single day. Please note that the inaugural lecture by Prof. Settis is open only to participants who registered for the conference by Nov. 12, 2018, and who responded to the invitation from the French Embassy by Nov. 18, 2018.
The conference registration fee can be paid using a credit card or by wire transfer.
To register for the conference and pay the fee by credit card, please go to https://myjcu.johncabot.edu/onlinepayment and follow these instructions:
STEP 1: Fill out the form with your name, date of birth, and email address. Tick the box to indicate whether you are a US citizen or permanent resident. Click on ‘Next.’
STEP 2: Pay the registration fee. Under ‘Custom amount’ enter the numeral 50 (or 60, if you are paying in dollars). This will be the amount of you payment of the registration fee (i.e. 50 euro or 60 dollars.) Press “Return” on your computer keyboard.
In the ‘Specify’ box, type in ‘MAMO conference registration fee’ Click on ‘Add to cart’ (just below and to the right of the ‘Specify’ box). Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Submit.’ Check to see that the ‘Custom amount’ and other details you entered are correct. Click on ‘Submit.’
STEP 4: Step through to the page asking for your credit card data. Fill out the credit card information. Click on ‘Submit.’ Print the receipt for your records.
STEP 5: You should receive an email message confirming the payment. Please email the receipt to: email@example.com
To register for the conference and pay the fee by wire transfer, please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org specifying your full name and whether the wire transfer with originate with a bank in the US or outside the US. We will respond with the necessary information.
